Last week, more than 100 Bay High School students participated in the Legacy Youth Leadership Seminar through Thirst Project. What a great opportunity this was for our students! #LearnLaunchLead

Don't forget to wear Purple tomorrow!

Come support more than 100 Bay High School students in the spring musical Bye Bye Birdie!

BVCSD Families: There is a structure fire in Bay Village on Donald Ave. behind the Malley's area. The smoke is thick in that area, and some traffic may be rerouted. Please exercise caution if dropping students at BMS and Normandy. Thank you!

Volunteers Muriel Bourn (BHS) and Bernadette Power (district parent) pulled ivy at Westerly's Garden Club space last week. Mrs. Carney and her team have big plans for the space that will be put into place in stages over the next few years. Thanks to everyone involved!

Normandy revealed its One School One Book title this afternoon in a very "playful" manner...Toys! Amazing Stories Behind Some Great Inventions by Don Wulffson and illustrated by Laurie Keller! (Experience the reveal via Mrs. Dunstan's class!)

April is Month of the Military Child. Show your support for BVCSD's military-connected children by wearing Purple each Friday in April! Thank you!

Excitement is "building" for Wednesday's big reveal of this year's One School One Book (OSOB) at Normandy Elementary!

Honoring all who served on this National Vietnam War Veterans Day.

Thank you BVPD for offering this free, women's self-defense class for our BHS students. Special thanks to Det. Kelly Uber, Det. Jameison Pochatek and Off. Michael Flood for teaching this important program!

Now through April 3, help Key Club fundraise for its Walk for Water initiative to build water wells in Africa. Great Mother's Day idea! See flyer for QRC code for ordering.

BVCSD is proud of Team Takes A Village for raising $123,000 in 7 weeks for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society! And thank you to everyone who donated and assisted this hard-working group of students!

March is Women's History Month, and Supt. Shryock invited some of Bay High School's female leaders to stop by the most recent Board meeting to share how they're making a difference in academics, the arts, athletics and service. Great job, ladies!

Support Bay High School’s theater program and the 100+ talented cast and crew members, by attending Bye Bye Birdie, directed by Luke Scattergood. Alumni are encouraged to attend in honor of Bay High School’s 100-year anniversary. https://bayathletics.org/event-tickets

Scientists in Action...Glenview Preschoolers recently took a walking field trip to observe the creek next to Glenview, and to visit the Lake Erie Nature & Science Center. How are you celebrating spring?

Mrs. Bolton's second-graders are published authors! The students wrote a book about the "B.A.Y way" and Normandy's Be respectful, Act Safely, and You and I can accept challenges mantra. Each student wrote a page and an illustration for the book. We are proud of you, Norman Bees!

As you plan your meals for the week, please consider ordering/eating out this Wednesday, March 23 at Five Guys (Westlake location) from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. to support our Bay High Class of 2022! See flyer for details...

Thanks to everyone who participated in the BHS Team Takes A Village fundraising efforts for LLS over the last 6 weeks. The team finished strong today with an all-school assembly with some fun surprises!

The Great Closet Clean-out is back! March 25-27 at Bay Middle School. Donations benefit Bay Athletics and Easter Seal.

Our very own Norman Bee, Huck, is in the running to be the Gabb Wireless spokesperson. A vote for Huck could benefit Bay Athletics.
