The History

On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, Bay Village residents voted overwhelmingly to support Bay Village City School District's Permanent Improvement Levy, which will fund the Facilities for the Future Plan.

The new, no tax increase Permanent Improvement Levy will generate funds to pay for building improvements, technology, textbooks and transportation, with no increase in taxes for Bay Village residents. Please click here for more information.

Laying the Foundation at Glenview

September 10, 2026: Glenview Center Director Alexa Davey lays the first bricks at the new, one-story building that will accommodate our Little Rockets (18 months and older) and childcare services.

New foundation is laid outside the arches at Bay High School.

Building Bay High's Event Entrance

September 10, 2026: A cement pad has been laid beyond the "arches" at Bay High School. This area will eventually be "opened up" to accommodate a gathering space off the Event Entrance of the high school. Guests attending basketball games, concerts and plays will have a larger area to congregate during pre- and post-event activities.

Discussion Topics:

• Roadmap: Outline a sequential timeline inclusive of key dates leading up to the start of construction in June of 2026.

• Financing: Understand the project's scope and timeline to explain how the construction timeline planning coincides with the financing process.

• Initial Testing: Discuss necessary initial tests, including surveys, abatement and soil tests. Test results will inform the design process.

• Project Sequencing: Begin to determine the priority and order of the projects to be completed.
