November 5, 2025 Facilities Core Committee Team Meeting

OVERVIEW: The team discussed project timelines and financial planning for multiple school building construction projects, including estimates, renderings and budget allocations for various buildings. They addressed key challenges such as elevation differences, utility costs and the need to finalize designs while staying within budget constraints. The group reviewed project schedules, design options and upcoming milestones, including the target dates for obtaining guaranteed maximum prices and completing schematic designs. The high school project is a priority, with estimates expected by late November. The team aims to finalize the design and cost estimates by early December. Glenview and the Normandy-Westerly projects are less advanced, with Glenview's structural discussions and Normandy-Westerly's window replacement needing further evaluation. The team plans to present conceptual renderings at the State of the Schools event on November 24. They also discussed the need for a detailed project schedule, including city review processes and potential summer construction timelines.
