
Mrs. Dunstan’s first-grade class recently worked on a fun holiday Elf STEM Challenge. Students planned and built shelves to hold their elves. There were some pretty fantastic ideas!

Did you enjoy the Normandy second-grade concert "The Spirit of the Season?" Besides hearing and watching this group of talented students, it's always fun to see the festive outfits they wear to this musical revue!










BHS teachers Luke Kieffer & Ron Rutt were honored with the Program Excellence Award by International Technology & Engineering Educators Association for the 2023-24 school year. This award recognizes Superior K-12 technology & engineering education programs from around the world!



The first Board of Education meeting for 2024 is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 5 at the Board Office. An organizational meeting will take place at 8 a.m. (new Board Members sworn in and President and Vice President elected), with a regular board meeting immediately following.


BVCSD reminds you that this Friday, December 22 is the last day of school before Winter Break. Students return to school on Monday, January 8.


The Bay High School Holiday Choral Concerts are tomorrow, Sun., December 17 at 3 pm and Mon., December 18 at 7 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for senior citizens/students. Children under 5 are free. https://baymusicboosters.com/


District Media Specialist Teacher Mrs. Melissa Wolf recently held two make-it, take-it ornament-making workshops for BHS students so they could enjoy a creative outlet during the busy holiday season. They repurposed thrift store books into ornaments!

8th grade ELA -- led by Mrs. Bruesewitz and Mr. Hack - - has been reading the classic "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens. Earlier this week they traveled to Playhouse Square to see the live performance.

Ms. Godlewski's first-graders recently enjoyed a trip to the Cleveland Museum of Art. Lots of great conversations were had over different pieces of art!






Did you know that 10 Bay High School students participate in the Cleveland Youth Wind Symphony (CYWS)? The CYWS recently held a concert at Severance Music Center. Mr. Allen and Mr. Awad are both directors. #BeProudToBeBay




Congratulations to BVCSD students Mateo Lico, Eddie Waters, Megan Chakerian and Anneliese Larsen, whose artwork was selected for this year's Supt. Choice Art Awards. Their artwork was chosen from the Fall District Art Show and will be displayed at the Board of Education Office.







Westerly 3rd grader Finn Haselswerdt plays the role of Tiny Tim in the Great Lakes Theater production of "A Christmas Carol" at Playhouse Square. Finn's classmates in Ms. Holinek's class are taking a field trip today to support his performance. Break a leg, Finn! #BeProudToBeBay
