Flag Day Factoids: 1. Flag Day was created by a teacher. 2. Congress officially recognized the flag on June 14, 1777. 3. It's a national holiday, but only PA recognizes Flag Day as a legal state holiday...the flag was born there.

In May, third-graders went to the Ohio History Center at Western Reserve Historical Center. Students engaged in active learning about immigrants and refugees by learning about real families that came to Cleveland. They looked at historical maps and explored some of the exhibits.
