Radium Girls is based on the true story of factory workers in the 1920s. The play follows lead character Grace Fryer as she battles corporate greed and denial after contracting fatal radiation poisoning from painting glow-in-the-dark watch dials. Her courageous legal fight against the U.S. Radium Corporation ultimately paved the way for modern workplace safety laws and labor rights.
