Bay Village Board of Education Announces Departure of Treasurer Meghan Rohde
(Bay Village, OH) – Bay Village City School District Treasurer Meghan Rohde announced last night, Monday, December 1, 2025, that she will step down from her position, effective mid-January, 2026.
Treasurer Rohde has been with Bay Village Schools since April of 2021.
The Bay Village Board of Education wishes to express its sincere gratitude to Treasurer Rohde for her service and commitment to the financial health and stability of Bay Village Schools for the past nearly five years.
“During her tenure, Mrs. Rohde played a vital role in managing the district's budget and forecasting, overseeing successful levies, promoting financial transparency and representing the district on a regional and state level,” said Mrs. Amy Huntley, President of the Bay Village Board of Education.
Bay Village Schools Superintendent Scot Prebles agreed and also shared his appreciation for Treasurer Rohde’s time with the district.
"We are grateful for Meghan’s leadership and dedication to our students, staff and community," said Superintendent Prebles. "Her financial expertise and relationships with the families we serve have been instrumental. I know we all wish her the best in her next endeavor."
“I am deeply grateful to the Board of Education, our central office team, our dedicated employees and the Bay Village community for the support and partnership we have shared during my time as Treasurer,” said Meghan Rohde. “It has been an honor to serve a district that cares so deeply about its students and its future. I have truly loved my time here and value the many relationships that have grown from this work. While I will be stepping into a new role with Lakewood City Schools, I look forward to continuing as an active and involved member of the Bay community. My family and I are proud to call Bay Village home, and my children will continue to attend Bay Schools.”
Bay Village Board of Education President Mrs. Amy Huntley said the district will begin the process to appoint a new financial leader for the district, and that more information regarding that process will be shared at the Monday, December 15, 2025, Board Meeting that takes place at Bay Middle School Library, 27725 Wolf Road. (It was previously announced this meeting would be moved from the Board Office to the Bay Middle School Library due to the number of guests anticipated as the State Champion Girls Soccer Team and others are recognized by the Board.)
“The Board’s priority is to ensure a seamless transition, and to find the best Treasurer for Bay Village Schools,” Mrs. Amy Huntley.
