Dear Bay Village Schools Community,
Last week, we witnessed a powerful demonstration of our residents' unwavering commitment to our students and the future of Bay Village Schools with the overwhelming support for the permanent improvement levy. This resounding vote of confidence speaks volumes about our community's belief in the value of a strong public education system.
Just two days later, the community was called upon in a profoundly different way as we shared the heartbreaking news of the passing of a Bay High School student. In the face of this tragedy, the compassion and unity displayed by our residents have been truly remarkable.
On behalf of the Board of Education and the entire Bay Village Schools family, I want to express our deepest gratitude. Your support in passing the permanent improvement levy will be instrumental in realizing our Finance + Facilities for the Future Plan, laying a strong foundation for long-term financial stability. These dedicated funds will allow us to make investments in the safety, security, and accessibility of our buildings, enhance learning environments, and ensure the longevity of district facilities for generations to come.
Furthermore, the outpouring of support for the Veselic family, our students and our staff during this incredibly difficult time has been deeply moving. In my more than three decades in education, I cannot recall a week that has presented such a stark contrast of emotions. The way our community has rallied together underscores the strong bonds that define Bay Village. I deeply value this partnership with our residents, and appreciate your commitment to the financial well-being of our schools.
Thank you, Bay Village, for your continued dedication to the success of our schools, and for your unwavering support during this challenging time. Your commitment makes all the difference.
Sincerely,
Scot Prebles, Superintendent
Bay Village Schools
