Glenview Center for Child Care & Learning Earns

Five-Star Step Up to Quality Award

(Bay Village, OH) – The Glenview Center for Child Care & Learning recently received the state of Ohio’s highest possible Five-Star rating from the Ohio Department of Children and Youth.

Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) is a five–star quality rating and improvement system administered by the Ohio Department of Children and Youth. SUTQ recognizes and promotes learning and development programs that meet quality program standards that exceed preschool licensing and school-age child care licensing health and safety regulations. The program standards are based on national research identifying standards that lead to improved outcomes for children.

Programs participating in the rating system can earn a one- to five-star rating.

“Schools that earn a five-star rating go above and beyond required licensing standards,” said Glenview Director Alexa Davey. “Five-star-rated programs lay the foundation for children’s learning and development, and build skills that are important for success in school and in life. We are proud to earn this distinction.”

A review of Glenview Center for Child Care & Learning was conducted with an extensive onsite visit in March, and Glenview received a score of 65 points, which is above the minimum requirement of 56 points to earn the Five-Star Rating.

“Congratulations to Glenview Director Alexa Davey and the entire Glenview Team for their dedication to their students,” said Bay Village Schools Supt. Scot T. Prebles. “Now their dedication to our students and their quality programming are recognized by the state of Ohio.”
