Westerly students in Mrs. Carpenter's Spanish classes recently studied Hispanic Heritage Month, and one of the lessons included the Spanish Flamenco dance . Students created their own "el abanico," the fan used during the dance. Students enjoyed learning about different cultures.
Tickets are on sale for the Bay High School fall play Peter and the Starcatcher, based on the 2004 novel Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, adapted for the stage by Rick Elice. The production is two nights, Oct 24 & Oct 26 at 7pm at Bay High Auditorium.
