It's Read Across America Week, and this morning, Normandy Elementary School held its "Dress like a Book Character Day" parade.





Mrs. Dunstan's first-grade class has been practicing their character voices using some special books during Read Across America Week, including Mo Willems' "Today I Will Fly."

Mrs. Dando & Mrs. Navratil's 4th grade class had a special presentation by Mrs. Kazmi, mother of Raheem Kazmi, about Ramadan. She read "Moon's Ramadan" by Natasha Khan Kazi, and explained the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and the practice of fasting, prayer and doing good deeds.
