January is School Board Recognition Month. We celebrate new Member Debbie Callihan. This retired teacher has a BHS alumna and now 3 grandchildren in the district. She is a member of the Curriculum and Finance Committees, the OSBA Student Achievement Liaison and a PTA member.
Friday, Feb. 9th is Military Night at the BHS Basketball Game. This third annual event will recognize veterans and those currently serving w/ free admission to the Boys/Girls varsity doubleheader vs. Rocky River. Special recognition throughout the event. https://bit.ly/3Uj04gW

The last Winter Softball Mini Camp is this Sunday, January 28th for students in grades 3-8. Please see flyer and QR Code for more information and to register. Camp is run by BHS Softball Coaches and Players.

Westerly K-Kids, moderated by Mrs. Kristen Thomas, collected pet food, dog beds, toys, leashes and other donations for Friendship APL in Elyria. Students then visited the humane society to see all the animals their donations will benefit. Nice work, K-Kids! #BeProudToBeBay

BHS Teacher Dr. Kris Srsen Kenney was chosen to present at the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) convention. The annual event brings thousands of educators, experts, authors, administrators, publishers and others together for learning, networking and inspiration.

Happy New Year from the Little Free Library! Thank you to the Bay High PAL Club for book donations this month. PAL is a student-led program dedicated to helping students with disabilities interact with their peers. The library is located near the bus garage at the BHS exit.
