Morning Announcements - May 27th, 2026

"Attention any 9th grader enrolled in 10th grade honors English for the 2026-2027 school year, please plan to attend a REQUIRED meeting at 2:45pm TODAY in ROOM 112.

During the meeting, you will receive your summer reading assignment. Again, this meeting is REQUIRED so please make arrangements to attend.

If for some reason you cannot attend, please visit Mrs. Balas (Room 106), Mrs. Peabody (Room 100), or Dr. Srsen (Room 112) to receive the assignment.

Attention all future AP US History students: If you did not attend the Summer Reading Meeting on Thursday 5/21, you need to pick up assignments and materials from Ms. McCrone in Lecture Hall 1 ASAP!  Materials will not be available after Tuesday 6/2, so don't get stuck this summer trying to track down what to do!  Assignments are due on the first day of school in August, so be sure to see Ms. McCrone TODAY to get what you need!

Attention current Sophomores enrolled AP Lang for the 26-27 school year.  Please attend the meeting about AP Lang in Dr. Srsen Kenney's classroom 112 on Thursday, May 28th.  We will review the course overview and summer reading.  Questions: see Mrs. Fanter or Dr. Srsen Kenney.

Attention students enrolled in AP Literature and Composition for next year..

Please attend a meeting after school on either May 26th or May 27th in room 101.  You only need to attend one meeting to pick up the summer assignment.  The meeting will last about 10 minutes.  Again, the meetings are scheduled for May 26th or 27th after school in room 101.

Need a study boost? brain The Class of 2027 is teaming up with Mojo's for a fundraiser! Pick up any Mojos product on Wednesday, May 27th, and 15% of proceeds will support the Class of 2027. Treat yourself while supporting a good cause!   

Anyone looking for service hours, or a fun leadership opportunity, please consider volunteering as a counselor this summer at Westerly’s STEM Camp. Enrollment is at a record high this year and more counselors are needed. Please reach out to Mrs. Sutterlin via email or stop by room 211 for more information and registration.

The Thirst Project is hosting a daycare summer camp for kids this August on the 14th and 17th on teacher inservice days when Glenview is closed, and they are looking for students to participate as camp counselors for either Key Club or NHS hours. There are two shifts, one from 7:30am-12:00pm, and 12:00pm-4:30pm. Counselor spots are limited, so sign up now in the Key Club Classroom to get a head start on your service hours.
