Morning Announcements - March 6th, 2026

A Congratulations Shout Out! 

Anika Schulz (Grade 9), Alice Jones (Grade 12), Cameryn Williams (Grade 11) and Penny Herman (Grade 9) for delivering powerful speeches on Wednesday, March 4th at the 2025 Westlake-Bay Village Rotary Club Four-Way Test Speech Contest.

They competed against other local high schools. Cameryn Williams and Penny Herman were awarded honorable mention for their creative and thought provoking speeches. Alice Jones was awarded 2nd place overall. And Anika Schulz came in 1st place as the overall winner of the competition.

Anika Schulz has been invited to represent Bay High School as she will compete against students from all over Northeast Ohio at the District Competition on Saturday April 18th.

Get your dancing shoes ready! SnoCo will be held on March 7th from 7:30pm-9:30pm in the Bay High School cafeteria.

Tickets are $10 and will be sold during all lunches. Today is the last day to purchase tickets.

Bring a friend and dress up to receive one service hour for NHS or Key Club!

All proceeds will support Team It Takes A Village in their mission to end blood cancer!

              

Teachers..Lock Em’ Up!

It’s that time of the year! 

You and your classmates should participate in the annual Teacher Lock Up competition. Donate by class so you can lock your teacher in the Main Showcase for the entire block of your class! A win, win!

Also.. The Battle of The QRPs continues!

Claim glory for your QRP in a competition of fun games against other QRPs. The battles are held in the West Gym.  Pull together your QRP Pals and sign up for the fun through the link sent to your QRP teacher!

This year, we are starting a new event, the Boys Powderpuff Volleyball game. Let’s Go Guys!

DO YOU WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT TRADES AND APPRENTICESHIPS?  West Shore Career Technical District is sponsoring our 4th annual JOBS, TRADES AND APPRENTICESHIP FAIR.  PLEASE JOIN US ON MARCH 26, 2026 6:00-7:30 At Westlake High School.  A wide variety of Union Trades will be on hand as well as Cleveland Clinic School of Pharmacy Technology, Ohio Business College of Nursing, Tri-C Construction Academy and the Ohio Department of Natural Resource Parks & Watercraft.

Need service hours? Want to help the hungry in our community? Bring in 15 or more food items during the week of March 16-20th to get a service hour for either NHS or Key Club. Please bring in non expired goods, and NO glass jars!
