BVCSD reminds you that Winter Break begins tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 22. Students return to school on Friday, Jan. 6. We wish you a wonderful and safe holiday season!

Westerly 4th grade construction experts in Ms. Hakkio's & Mr. Maxwell's classes created Winter Wonderland Gingerbread houses. Students had to choose materials and honor a budget based on a materials cost sheet. They also had to find the perimeter and area of the sides and floor.

Happy First Day of Winter! Did You Know...?! The winter solstice marks the exact moment when half of the Earth is tilted the farthest away from the sun. It usually happens on December 21 or 22, at the exact same second around the world.

Beginning Friday, January 6, 2023, MOST bus routes will go back to their normal routes now that construction projects within the city have been completed. Please check your student's route via this link: https://bit.ly/RFU122022

Westerly students in Miss Turnbull's music classes have learned Hanukkah songs and how to play the dreidel game. These fourth-graders in Mr. Dlugosz's class spin away. Happy Hanukkah to those who are celebrating!
