
Today we celebrate Juneteenth, commemorating the emancipation of enslaved Black Americans. Juneteenth facts: The holiday originated in Galveston, TX, and has been celebrated in other parts of the US since 1865. This day was first recognized as a federal holiday in 2021.

Mrs. Fortunato 's 7th grade Art classes had an end-of-the-year Clay Mug Party, celebrating with lemonade or apple juice sipped out of the mugs they made this year. The student artists had fun and the mugs worked well with no leaks!

Rising 8th graders in Bay Middle School's STEM Camp had a Forensics lesson today with Officers Ingham & Barnie from the Westshore Enforcement Bureau. They used x-ray, robots and a PAN tool to dispose of suspicious packages. #STEM #ScienceIsFun




Today, Wednesday, June 14 from 9-11am, the Westshore Enforcement Bureau will be onsite at Bay Middle School's STEM Academy teaching a forensics lesson with some of their tools, including a robot and a drone. Please do not be alarmed if you see this vehicle or equipment at BMS.
