Sports Report

Congratulations to the 7th grade girls basketball team who defeated Hillside last night 34-13. It was a close game to start, but the Lady Rockets took the lead in the 2nd quarter and never looked back. The Rockets lead at the halftime was 18-11. The Rockets came out in the 2nd half with a stifling Rocket press and held Hillside to only 2 points for the half. The team out-scored Hillside to only 2 points for the half. The team plans to celebrate the win with a special playlist at practice today. Kicking it off with a little Bruce!

The 8th-grade girls basketball team traveled to Hillside and notched their 6th win of the season. The game was very physical and was more like a “rugby ball” than basketball. The first quarter had 20 total fouls called. The Bay girls didn’t back down from this type of play as they slapped down their smothering defense and shut the home team out in the second half. The Lady Rockets were just too much for Hillside as they cruised to a 35 to 8 win.

Great team win ladies!  Go Rockets!
