Calling all 8th Grade Power of the Pen Members. We are in need of a few more competition writers. If you are on the fence about joining the competition team please see Mr. Barberic sometime today or after school. We would love to have a full team ready to go for the District Tournament!

Sports Report
The 8th grade girls basketball team traveled across the tracks last night and beat a good Westlake Demon team 30-23. The Lady Rockets slapped down some smothering team defense and played some unselfish basketball. The Demons pulled within one in the 4th quarter at 24-23 but the Rockets scored the next 6 points and shut out the home team for the last 3 and a half minutes of the game. Every player contributed to the win!
