Do Not Forget the library is hosting the annual Book Character Pumpkin Contest again this year!! Pumpkins must represent a book or character. Pumpkins can be painted or carved, or decorated with other materials. Be creative! To enter your Pumpkin you will just need to upload a picture of you with your pumpkin. Bring in any non-carved pumpkins to display in the library! The 3 categories to win an Amazon gift card, include Silliest, Closest Book/Character Adaptation and Best Overall. All submissions must be family-friendly.
For more guidelines, ideas and information, stop in the library! Deadline to turn in entries will be Oct. 31. Winners will receive $10 Amazon gift cards and will be announced Nov. 4! Decorate your Book Character Pumpkins!!
Sports Report
Congratulations to both the boys and girls State Cross country teams for earning 3rd place in Columbus Sunday at the Middle School Cross Country State Championship.
It was a very hot day for a race but your Rockets worked hard and brought home trophies and podium pictures, beating out many teams from across the state.
In the girls race, Nolie Piktel placed 1st for Bay and 11th overall, earning a special trip to the podium with her season best time of 12:50. Finishing 2nd for Bay was Libby Rahm and 3rd for Bay Clover Pierce. Also scoring were Lynn Swislocki and Kate Fitchpatrick.
Will Waters led the boys team with his personal best time of the year of 11:42, earning 18th place in a highly competitive and fast race. Coming in 2nd for Bay was Emmitt Naughton and 3rd for Bay was Andrew Starnes. Also scoring were Will Kralik and Sam Farrar. A special shout out to Carter Baruxes for running his fastest time of the year yesterday as well.
Congratulations to all 28 members of our State Cross Country Team for a successful trip to Columbus and a great season!
