Congratulations to our BMS Power of the Pen States writers who competed at States this past Monday at Ashland University. These writers competed against students and schools from all over Ohio. These writers are among the top 20% of competitive writers in the entire state of Ohio.

8th Grade: Charlotte Colman (two-time States writer!) and Audrey Beckwith
7th Grader London Goodpaster was recognized with a Platinum Pen Award, one of the highest honors, for her story from Districts. Her short story, "The Thief," will be published in the Power of the Pen Book of Winners 2026.
Well done, writers! We are so proud of you!
