Sports Report:
The 7th Grade Lady Rockets are headed to the championship game tonight after a hard-fought 32-25 victory over Westlake yesterday.
Bay came out firing, opening the game with a dominant 13-2 run. Their defensive intensity was the story of the first half, as they utilized incredible full-court pressure to rattle the Westlake backcourt and create easy transition opportunities.
Westlake refused to go away quietly. They battled back in the later stages of the game, tightening their defense and cutting the Rockets' lead to just 6 points. Despite the late surge from the Demons, the Lady Rockets kept their composure by controlling the glass and executing down the stretch to secure the seven-point win.
Avery Lee was the standout performer for the Rockets. She anchored the offense with a game-high 16 points, consistently finding ways to score even as the defensive pressure intensified in the second half. Other scorers for the Rockets were Ava with 6 points, Heidi (4), Emma (3), Reese (2), and Morgan, adding a free throw.
Good Luck tonight in the Championship Game against Rocky River.
Let’s remember to RESPECT OUR COMMUNITY with KINDNESS, EMPATHY, and TOLERANCE.
