Sports Report:

Congratulations to the 7th-grade girls' basketball team as they won their first tournament game last night. The Lady Rockets proved that a game isn’t over until the final buzzer, overcoming a game-long deficit to defeat the Lakewood Rangers 30-22.

After trailing for the first three quarters, the Rockets turned up the heat in the 4th quarter, utilizing a relentless full-court press that suffocated the opponent's offense and didn’t allow a single point in the final period. The 11-0 run in the 4th quarter was fueled by aggressive steals and great transition play.

The win was a total team effort with Heidi leading the comeback with a game-high 10 points, while Ava chipped in 6 points, Avery (6), Reese (4), Emma (2), and Morgan (2).

Remember, defense wins championships, but heart wins games like this.

The win moves the girls into the final four of the 7th-grade tournament, as they'll play Westlake today. Congrats, ladies, on such a hard-fought victory, and good luck tonight.

Let’s remember to RESPECT OUR COMMUNITY with KINDNESS, EMPATHY, and TOLERANCE.

Show your ROCKET PRIDE !!!
