We are very excited for the Great BMS Rake Out on Friday, November 21st. We currently have 111 people who are counting on us! Remember, we have our Rake Collection Day this Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at the middle school. Please either drop off your rakes at your chaperone's house the night before or at BMS for Rake Collection Day. They do not allow rakes on buses! Thanks, and we look forward to another successful Rake Out Day!
Beginning December 1st, the Bay High Thirst Project is selling Mitchell’s gift cards! Cards are valued at $25 and can be ordered via Zeffy. If you’re interested, ask your parents to review the most recent principal newsletter, scan the QR code on the flyers around your school, or look for a post on the Bay High Key Club Instagram. This is the perfect gift for anyone on your list, and when you buy one, you will be giving someone in Africa the best gift of all, clean water for life.
Sports Report:
Congratulations to the 8th Grade girls' basketball team as they secured another victory on Tuesday with a hard-fought battle against Lakewood Harding. The girls jumped out to a quick 12-2 lead, but the Rangers kept battling back all game long to keep the game close. With the Rockets leading 22-20 to start the fourth quarter, the Lady Rockets increased their intensity, secured some timely baskets, and pulled away to claim a 31-26 win. Abby led the team with 8 points, followed by Laney (7), Kensie and Milam with four each, and Piper and Reagan each adding 2 points.
Congrats to the 7th Grade girls' basketball team as they secured their 4th straight win with a 30-7 victory over Harding. Once again, the Lady Rockets' full-court pressure was too much for the Rangers to handle, as they converted on several layups and many transition baskets. Avery and Heidi combined to score 19 points while Reese added 7 and Emma added 4 for the Rockets' offensive attack.
Come out and support both teams tonight as they play Greenbrier at home. The 8th-grade game starts at 4:45, with the 7th-grade game tipping off around 5:45.
Let’s remember to RESPECT OUR COMMUNITY with KINDNESS, EMPATHY, and TOLERANCE.
