BMS Announcements:
Attention BMS students- do you want to get out of school early? Are you interested in helping out your community? Does serving others and your community make you feel good? Then the Great BMS Rake Out is the event for you.
On November 21st, from 1-3:00 pm, we will have the opportunity to rake the yards of homes in Bay. These are homes of older adults that need our help!
You will need to find a group, no more than 3-6 people. If you want to have more than six people, then you will need to find another chaperone. Second, find a chaperone. Chaperones can be your parents OR teachers. Then, please ensure that your parents/guardians fill out the permission slip form and the chaperone form that was sent to them via email.
If you have any questions, please get in touch with Ms. Flamos in the 7th-grade hallway.
Attention: Power of the Pen. We will meet this Friday, November 14th, in Mrs. Goldberg's room. Please be prepared to share a story you would like to tell. If you prefer not to share, join us anyway and enjoy the wonderful work of your classmates. See you at 3:00 pm on Friday!
Attention all seventh-grade choir students:
This is your reminder to report to the choir room at lunch today
for the combined choir rehearsal.
Sports Report:
It was another great win for the 8th-grade Lady Rockets basketball team on Tuesday, as the team traveled to Shiloh. After a slow 1st quarter start that saw the Rockets down 4-2, the team kicked it into high gear with a 34-1 run the rest of the game to cruise to the victory. Laney led the team with 10 points, with Raquel chipping in 5 points, including a 3-pointer that brought the Choo Choo chant from the bench and the crowd. Also scoring for the Rockets were Kenzie with (5), Maya (4), Piper (4), Reagan (3), Abby (2), and Lottie (2). On the defensive end, Amelia and Hannah helped shut down Shiloh all day, allowing only one basket during the entire game. And finally, let's not forget about Milum, who was sidelined due to an injury but remained the team's number one fan and supported them throughout the game.
The 7th-grade Girls' Basketball team picked up its third straight victory on Tuesday, beating Shiloh 40-19. The Rockets dominated the game early, getting off to a quick 13-7 start due to some intense full-court pressure. From there, the team continued to build its lead throughout the game by scoring easy lay-ups and shots from its zone offense. Avery led all scorers with 15 points, all coming in the first half, followed by Heidi and Aubrianna adding 8 points each, Reese and Evie chipping in 4 each, and Mallory knocking down a free throw. Come support both the 7th and 8th grade girls teams as they play at home today against the Rocky River Pirates, starting at 430 PM.
Let’s remember to RESPECT OUR COMMUNITY with KINDNESS, EMPATHY, and TOLERANCE.
