Congratulations to the 8th Grade Girls Basketball Team on an incredibly hard-fought victory against rival North Olmsted last Thursday! In a true defensive showdown, the Lady Rockets prevailed with a final score of 17-13 as Abby Basen led the team with 11 points, including three (3-pointers) - Choo Choo. Also scoring for the Rockets were Laney with 4 points and Maya with two—great job to all the players. Your defense was exceptional.
Let's hear it for the 7th Grade Girls basketball team, who absolutely dominated North Olmsted on the court last week, winning 38-11! Tenacious defense, unselfish play, and some high-powered offense were the magic formula for the Lady Rockets' victory . Avery Lee led the Rocket attack with a game-high 14 points. In comparison, Heidi added 8 points, Emma (4), Ava (4), Morgan (2), Claire (2), Evie (2), and Reese (2). On the defensive end, Aubrianna, Mallory, and Ally shut down the Eagles all day long with a great defensive effort.
Both the 7th and 8th Grade teams will play again this coming Thursday at home, going up against Rocky River.
