Attention all Power of the Pen members:
This week's meeting will be in Mr. Barberic's classroom from 3:00 - 3:40 p.m. This meeting will be a sharing meeting from the prompts last week. Please see either Mrs. Goldberg or Mr. Barberic if you cannot attend the meeting
Last night, the 7th grade volleyball team beat Lakewood Garfield handily in two sets with scores of 25-5, and 25-11. This brings their record up to 12-3 with only two games left in the regular season.
The win was another total team effort with a few stats to share: Elizabeth Dorton served for a total of 9 points with 3 aces and 1 kill, Bridget Mac-a-lay served 7 points with 5 aces and 2 kills, Sawyer Kerns served for 5 points with 4 aces while also adding 4 kills and Rachel Kraft served 9 points with 7 kills.
The team travels to Hillside today and will hopefully keep their winning streak alive!

The 8th-grade volleyball team lost a tough game to a good Lakewood Garfield team yesterday. Sloane Kerber led the team with 5 kills, followed by Payton Masterson with 4. Molly Rettig and Ruby Render each added an ace. This is the first loss the 8th-grade team has had in their middle school volleyball career, winning 34 straight games, a very impressive feat. The girls will get an opportunity to see the Rangers again at the end-of-year tournament!
