The 7th Grade Volleyball team traveled to Lakewood and got sweet revenge as they beat Harding Middle School in two sets with scores of 25-16, and 25-13.  In the first set, the Rockets had some mental errors, which made the game seem a lot closer than it was.  The second set was filled with many good things all the way around:  setting by Elizabeth Dorton and Riley Somerville was right on point, digs were crazy good by Lauren Vecchio and Bridget Mac-a-lay and there were even some good kills by multiple girls.

Riley Somerville had excellent serving with 9 points and 1 ace, Anna Spellman with 5 points, and Sawyer Kerns and Lauren Vecchio each with 3 points and 1 ace.

This win brings their record to 11-3.  The girls have their last home game tomorrow against Garfield, game time at 6:00 p.m.  Hope to see lots of you there!

The cross-country teams competed at Strongsville this past weekend.

The girls team finished 8th overall.  The only team with a school our size that was in front of the girls was Rocky River.  All the rest were big schools and the running club...so great showing by the girls!  72% of the girls had a PR, and four 8th graders had a career PR!  Scoring for the Rockets:

1.  Kai Ripley -- 36th overall

2.  Chloe Vincent -- 37th overall

3.  Anika Schulz -- 44th overall

4.  Maddie Yohman -- 51st overall

5.  Addie Patrick -- 57th overall

6.  Claire Schearer -- 60th overall

7.  Lily Lawnicki -- 61st overall

The boys team finished 4th overall.  The only teams in front of the boys were the running club and bigger schools.  71% of the boys had a PR, and seven 8th graders had a career PR...great job, boys!  Scoring:

1.  Liam Jager -- 17th overall

2.  Jacob Basen -- 19th overall

3.  Freddy Burt -- 43rd overall

4.  Gavin English -- 45th overall

5.  Graham Dunstan -- 61st overall

6.  Aidan Carey -- 68th overall

7.  Callum Moss -- 87th overall
