Calling ALL creative writers in 7th and 8th grade! 

Do you like to write for fun? Do you like to share your stories and meet new people? Then come join Power of the Pen, our Bay Middle School creative writing club. 

We will have our first informational meeting today, September 14th, after school from 3:00 - 3:30 in Mrs. Goldberg's classroom. Even if you are in fall sports or Honors Orchestra - you can still join! See Mrs. Goldberg or Mr. Barberic with any questions or if you can't attend the informational meeting.

Attention students in yearbook club.  Remember to bring back the signed permission slip to Mrs. Abdul before our meeting today after school.  You cannot stay for the meeting if you do not return the permission slip.  

Chess Club will begin Friday, September 22nd at 2:55 pm in room 138 (Mr. Kevesdy’s room in the 6th grade hallway). 

 All students in grades 5 through 8 are welcome.

 Stop by Mr. K’s room after school any day this week to get a permission slip. 

 The slip must be filled out by a parent and brought to the first meeting.

Sports Report:

Last night the 7th grade Lady Rockets defeated Shiloh in two sets with the scores of 25-6, and 25-8.  Highlights were Lauren Vecchio with 7 points and 6 aces and Sydney Veselic with 11 points and 4 aces.  Rachel Kraft added 3 kills, Audrey Weingart had 2 kills and Riley Somerville, Anna Spellman, and Elizabeth Dorton each added one kill.

The team faces Fairview today at HOME and hopes to up their record to 7-3!

The 8th-grade volleyball team remains undefeated as they improved to 9-0 yesterday with a win against Shiloh, 25-15 and 25-4. Payton Masterson, Molly Rettig, Madelyn Lee, Morgan Meade, and Stella Turall all contributed to the win with multiple aces, with Morgan leading the team with 8 aces. Payton Masterson, Stella Turall, and Sloane Kerber added multiple kills in the front row, Payton with a team-high of 4 kills. We are home today vs. Fairview. 8th grade starts at 4:45
