Did you know that our school art show spotlights artwork made throughout this school year? Mrs. Fortunato and Mr. Leininger have gathered as many art pieces as they can, from a variety of students, in order to put together our school Art Show.
This year’s show will feature a wide range of art materials from pen & ink to pastels to collages’, to paint and clay, just to name a few.
You don’t need to have something in the Art Show to attend. Come with your friends, bring your family. Stop by and get dinner or dessert. Kona Ice will be available during the show.
Next week 8th Grade Town Council will be hosting a spirit week! Monday, May 1st will be Pajama Day. Tuesday, May 2nd will be VSCO Girl Day, and Friday, May 5th will be Twin Day. There will not be spirit days on Wednesday and Thursday due to state testing. On May 5th we will have the 8th Grade Spring Fling dance from 7-8:30 pm! It is $5 and there will be snacks! We hope to see you there!
The 16th year of the Bike To School Challenge is ready to start soon. In fact, it begins Monday, May 1st, and runs for 3 weeks. If you haven’t taken your bike out for a spring test ride yet, doing so soon would be a great idea. Just make sure those tires are inflated and brakes are fully functioning, This year’s sponsors include Subway, Honey Hut, Dairy Queen, Ray’s Indoor Mountain Bike Park, Bay Food Mart, Panini’s, Mojo’s Coffee, Bay Provisions, Spevocks Bowling Lanes, and many more! Let’s all join in the fun by riding to school for the 16th Bike to School Challenge.
