We are so proud of BVCSD music teachers Devon Gess and Jim Kotora -- along with former music teacher Elaine Dwyer and 2020 alumnus Nick Pochatek-- who all appeared with Andrea Bocelli last week at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. This quartet was part of The Cleveland Pops Chorus.

Last night, the BV Board of Ed recognized retiring Board members Dave Vegh (VP) and Lisa Priemer (President) by passing resolutions honoring their dedication to our district. We thank them for their service to our learning community, and for being student-focused leaders.

Every year on Dec. 7, we come together to honor and remember the 2,403 service members and civilians who were killed during the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. This year marks the 80th anniversary of the bombing.

Did you know...
1. Americans eat 704 million pounds of turkey every Thanksgiving.
2. "Jingle Bells" was originally a Thanksgiving song.
3. More people travel to Orlando, Florida than anywhere else on Thanksgiving.
4. We are thankful for YOU! Happy Thanksgiving!

Before Thanksgiving, Normandy's Library Team had students cover every inch of a pumpkin with "Thankful Words." Then they put the pumpkin outside so our woodland creatures could be thankful, too!
