January is School Board Recognition Month. We celebrate new Member James Goodman. This higher education IT/contract expert has a student in the district and a soon-to-be kindergartener. He's on the Wellness and Policy Committees, is a Bay Ed Fdn trustee & coaches travel baseball.
On Monday, the Board of Education recognized the BHS girls soccer team for reaching the State Semifinals this fall. The Board also recognized BHS soccer standouts Tessa Knapp (two-time) and Milo Hignett for being named to the United Soccer Coaches Association All-American Team.

Westerly K-Kids, moderated by Mrs. Kristen Thomas, collected pet food, dog beds, toys, leashes and other donations for Friendship APL in Elyria. Students then visited the humane society to see all the animals their donations will benefit. Nice work, K-Kids! #BeProudToBeBay

BHS Teacher Dr. Kris Srsen Kenney was chosen to present at the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) convention. The annual event brings thousands of educators, experts, authors, administrators, publishers and others together for learning, networking and inspiration.
