Last week, actors from Magical Theatre Company visited Westerly. The
company selected, adapted and performed two short plays written by
Westerly 4th graders Kinley Blake, The Girl Who Became a Unicorn, and Alice Fanter, Mia and the Time Machine. Congratulations!




Earlier this month, 10 Key Club leaders attended the Annual Ohio District Leadership Conference in Columbus. They represented BHS well at State, and received many accolades for their hard work in serving others, including 3 first-place, 2 second-place and one third-place award!

BMS Power of the Pen teams had a great showing at the recent Regional competition: 8th grade team-3rd place; 7th grade team-3rd place; and both teams won the coveted Sweepstakes Award for having high scores from both Districts and Regionals. Next up: States!




In the Christian tradition, Palm Sunday is the first day of Holy Week and the Sunday before Easter. In ancient times, palms were used to welcome kings. Now, palms serve as sacramentals and some are burned to be used as the ashes for next year's Ash Wednesday.
