Pi Day is celebrated on March 14. Pi is the symbol used to represent a constant, the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter, which is approximately 3.14159. Pi Day is a chance for math enthusiasts to recite the infinite digits of Pi, talk about math and eat pie!


Students in Mrs. Scarvelli's first-grade class learned about different popular authors and illustrators during the recent Read Across America Week. On this day they highlighted Mo Willems. Each student made Piggie and Elephant puppets and read a book with their puppets.
