There will be an OPTIONAL cheerleading clinic TODAY (Tuesday, April 16th) at 3:30 in the BMS cafeteria.  Come see and practice the skills needed for BHS Cheerleading.  Learn about stunting and the different team members needed.  Learn the fight song routine and get helpful feedback from the BHS Cheer coaches.

Cheer tryouts are May 1st! Any questions, see Mrs. Fanter in room 103.

ATTENTION ALL SENIORS!

The Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio is sponsoring a SENIOR ONLY HIRING FAIR on Apr 30, 2024 from 9:00-4:00 pm at the Holiday Inn, Independence.  This fair is for all Seniors wishing to seek employment right after graduation. A wide variety of businesses will be on hand FROM Manufacturing, Government, Healthcare, IT and much more.  COME PREPARED; BRING YOUR RESUME, ON SITE INTERVIEWS, MEET POTENTIAL EMPLOYER, AND NETWORK OPPORTUNITIES!  See Mrs.   Costa-Borick in the Career Shadow office for more information.

April is Month of the Military Child. BVCSD recognizes Emma Parker.  Don't forget to #Purple Up on Wed., Apr. 17th! #PurpleStar #PurpleStarDistrict

Bay High School activities will include:

  • Wednesday, April 17 will be “Purple Up” Day at Bay Village Schools. Students in grades Pre-K through 12, as well as faculty and staff, are encouraged to wear Purple in honor of the 57 students in our district who are military-connected.

  • Bay High School’s Ground Control TV station will cover this initiative in a segment.

  • A special message will be shared from Bay High School Military Point of Contact Mr. Rob Grossman.

  • Military-connected students have the opportunity to share their family’s story with their classmates.

  • Military-connected student names/photos will be shared on video announcement pages. (Families can submit a photo ahead of time.)

Do you love Chipotle?! The Class of 2025 is having a Chipotle fundraiser TODAY Tuesday, April 16th.  Grab some friends and head to the Westlake Chipotle 4-8pm on Tuesday to help raise money for prom.

Do you love singing in the shower or car? Come audition for choir next year! Auditions will start back after spring break! See Mrs. Gess for audition information or scan the QR code on the flyers hung around the school! Choir auditions have been extended for another week (April 15-19) !!!

Is there a high school staff member who has inspired you, challenged you, or supported you throughout your time at Bay High School?

Would you like to acknowledge that teacher or staff member in some way?  We are looking for high school students, who would like to nominate Bay High School teachers or staff members, who have positively impacted their lives at school.  To nominate a specific person, please type a 250 – 500 word response. In the response, please explain why you think this particular person deserves this honor.

A team of individuals will decide on the winning entries, and that person will be presented with an award from you at an awards assembly.

The deadline to participate in this activity is April 22nd.  Please send your typed response via email to Mrs. Kenney in the main office.
